Today marks one year since I started working with Jeff Chandler at WP Tavern. We’ve come a long way in one year! Together we’ve increased daily traffic by 487% from this time last year, and last month we passed 2,000 email subscribers.
It’s been a fun, eventful year. Jeff and I worked together to create an updated Tavern logo and redesigned the site with a new theme. I attended one WordCamp in Miami this past year and finally got to meet Jeff in person after working together for nine months. We spent time strategizing for the Tavern and discovered that we both enjoy lambic beers and alligator tails 🙂 It’s great to have a teammate to encourage you when writer’s block strikes or when hate mail arrives. The internet is still the wild west in many ways. 😉
I am grateful to have the opportunity to write WordPress news and connect to so many awesome folks in the community who are doing wonderful, brilliant, world-changing things with this software. Here’s to another great year!

Oh what a year it’s been!
Congrats on one year at the Tavern! 🙂 I remember when the joint first opened, and am glad to see how far it’s come over the years. Look forward to many more years of you and Jeff writing awesome WordPress content! 🙂

Brian, you are a big part of my inspiration. Some mornings I wake up and see some WP news and think to myself, “Gotta write this up before Krogsgard beats me to it!” Post Status keeps us all on our toes. 🙂
