I participated in the the Worldwide WordPress 5K today – I’m glad that Automattic organizes this virtual event. When you work on a computer all day, it’s easy to remain sedentary and neglect time outdoors.
I run mostly for the love of beer but right now I’m also trying to get ready for our annual Turkey Trot 5K, a new family tradition. I had to slow down and walk a few times but it’s getting better. Running post-baby has definitely been challenging. My long term goal is to get my 5K time under 30 minutes.
I just ran around my neighborhood in Tulsa and used MapMyRun to track my 5K. Our streets are full of these little acorns during autumn, and they crunch under your feet as you cruise along. 🙂
