To Make A Wretch His Treasure

Saddened by things I see in the news, I am more convinced than ever that the only hope for our people is the radical message of the cross. It’s not just an “I love you” message from God but also the power to transform our lives and free us from sin. It’s the power to become a son. This is our chance to stop making our own way and trust our Father’s word, even when we don’t understand why.

“I will not boast in anything
No gifts, no power, no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrection”

  1. Good job on this testimony Sarah. I wonder how many times his people have thought, “How close we must be.” Yet, my brain says how can I assume that we are any closer than the original disciples thought they were 2000 years ago? Even though my heart wants it to be so now.

I too look at this world and wonder why there is no clarity of what we’re doing and where we’re pushing ourselves. No understanding of our most basic need to put him in charge of our lives, our various cultures and our world to guide us out of this dark cave into which we’ve so feverishly burrowed. No recognition of our folly, whatsoever.

If it weren’t for the fact that my family and I have Him, it would be an intolerably depressing fix to be in. But we do! And therein lies our happiness, contentment, joy, safety, pleasure, growth, and nourishment of all kinds.

Keep it up little sis because “Everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven”.

    Mark
